I ordered mine a few weeks ago. I hope these succeed so other planned figures see the light of day!

Wow! That is a really cool new figure, giving me Beasts of the Mesozoic vibes! Tempted to just go all out for the deluxe version, though I'm not sure the packaging is worth an extra $15 beyond that. At least they give us options. This seems to be a bit larger than 1:18 scale, which I think they would have been fine keeping it at.

It would be great if they do continue releasing figures of the other animals shown on the box, maybe in more affordable 2-packs for those smaller Permian critters? What's the status of your order, Halichoeres?

My order is on its way to me, having yesterday crossed the ocean to the US!

I hope these sell well enough to get the other species, too!

I got in contact to Max Springer, the guy who is, like I suppose, the driving force behind the company and asked for postage. It´s 90 Euro from South Africa to Germany. This means postage is more expensive than the figure itself :-[ I can´t explain what these costs come from, but this is far too much for my budget.  :'(
He feels honoured, by the way, that the figure(s) made it into the DTF ^-^

Thanks for the update, Libraraptor. I feel like they are asking a bit too much for this figure, and that's also a crazy shipping fee. Hard to justify a purchase for what it is, really.

Halichoeres, would you be willing to share what shipping to the US was like?

If you go to the site you can get a shipping quote.
I think to Canada it was also crazy high. Which is a shame -- it's even too much for someone to order a large number to resell

I can't understand how these horrendous shipping costs come about. The figure is, in my opinion, also slightly overpriced, but that can certainly be justified by the production costs. Keep in mind, every figure is hand-painted, and not by cheap labor in the Far East like with Schleich. Unfortunately, the shipping costs probably ruin every chance for the figure to take off internationally.

CityRaptor

Any excitement I got for this figure died down due to the shipping costs.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Halichoeres

The shipping was expensive, via FedEx. I can't remember ever buying anything from South Africa before, so I don't have much to compare it to. Shipping gets cheaper the larger the volume is, so if there are lots of flights between two countries, the shipping price will drop. There might not be a lot of flights between South Africa and the States, I don't know.

Do you see even the slightest chance for a group order to Germany? When eight fellow Germans place an order, each had to pay 9€ only. Okay, plus the plus shipping costs for domestic delivery... :-\

Halichoeres

Got mine in and I'm pretty happy with it so far! But yeah, wasn't cheap.

Max just wrote me that he found a way to reduce the postage costs to Germany. Postage would be $35,-  now, which would still be $115,- for the standard version altogether. Now I am beginning to think about an order.
