Halichoeres

A nicely preserved skull, when CT scanned, revealed a mouth full of nasty chompers. This is from the same Carboniferous formation in New Mexico as the 'godzilla shark' Dracopristis, which preserves an environment that must have been unpleasant for small fish. They've named it Daemodontiscus, or "demon-toothed fish."
