No, the chances of that happening are very unlikely.

The mold might see a re-release at some point, but in different colors. Most JP Dinosaur molds have been released in different colors over the years.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend

Found a few really cool allosaurs on Ebay, might snap a few up.

Also the JP allosaur is apparently outrageous in price now. Would it be better to try and get one standalone (meaning pre-owned, no box or extras) or wait for a re-release when it'll be cheaper? (I have absolutely no knowledge of how JP or whoever produces the JP merch does their stuff. Is it viable to wait for a rerelease?)

Look for an individual but complete figure, you don't need the rest of the playset unless you really want it.

It looks like complete ones have sold for around 20.00 so not a bad price at all. Just keep an eye out for them !

The chances of re-release of this figure are probably slim to none.  It's just so rare and Hasbro may not even have the mold to it anymore. :/

Are we talking about the TLW Battle-Ravaged Allosaurus or the recent JP 3D Allosaurus Assault figure? Both show prove findable in decent, loose condition for affordable prices. The chances of the new Allosaurus getting re-released or repainted around the time of Jurassic World's release are fairly good. But I agree the prices of the 2013 figure in MIB condition are outrageous, considering it's less than a year old.

I assumed we were talking about the JP3D one. Totally forgot that there was a TLW one aswell.

I found the TLW for $20 on Ebay easy. Have yet to stumble upon the new one loose, unfortunately. Did find a really cool little allosaur though. Does anyone know anything about this figure? I'm thinking about getting it.

What I love about Allosaurus is that it lived an extremely violent life that was rife with broken bones, cuts, scrapes, infections, sprains, and yet it just kept on truckin.

It's Bandai and would be about the size of a Kaiyodo (I think) with assembly required. It's also from Japan so you can bet it will be fairly accurate. I don't have any Bandai for myself but for that price I don't see how you can lose. Looks good enough to me!

Hmmm, alright. I'm not sure whether to pick it up or wait for a bit. I found a few more models (including the papo, which, let's face it, I really should've picked up years ago) so I think I'll go for those first.

Not in my original list, but does anyone have some recommendations for good theropod (excluding Tyrannosaurs. I like them fine, but they're not high on my list to pick up.) models in general? I'd kind of like to start a  sort of Theropod buylist, so if I'm out and happen to see some figures, I have a way to prioritize.

I'd get all the Papo pieces if you haven't yet.   The Carnegie/Safari  Carnotaurus is really nice too.

Alrighty. I'll see about it. Might try and pick up more of the Kaiyodo, or other of the smaller collectible pieces, as those seem to be a bit cheaper.

I know everyone loves the Carnegie Carnotaurus but I'm honestly apathetic to it. It's a nice sculpt, but I don't like the post it's in. That pose worked fine on the Giganotosaurus, but I feel like Carnotaurus is a much more dynamic animal, and needs a more dynamic position. I DID like the Kaiyodo one that was reviewed on the blog, so I might try and get that one.

True. They are a bit higher priced..but very worth it.  I predict if Papo ever ceases production they will be in VERY high demand.

Everyone is entitled to their own view, I was very pleased with the pose and size, even coloration..I recall Dan had one repainted by Martin into a stellar diorama.

The thing about Safari/Carnegie your only going to get so much dynamic out of them do to their retailer restraints. I've pretty much became used to it. lol

I like the Carnegie Carnotaurus. I think the reason I liked it so much was because the Carnotaurus we had from Carnegie at the time was so dire. I also liked the factory paint job (a rare for me).

The pose isn't too bad. It would have been cool to have a more dynamic, active one, but these are children's toys after all and there are certain compromises that must be made :-\

I feel that the Carnegie line has begun to stagnate, personally. I would like to see them experiment with new poses, maybe release a theropod with a closed mouth. But it just feels like they're recycling the same pose over and over for their theropods. They should take a leaf out of CollectA's book >:D

Have to agree with you, although I honestly liked the Concavenator (which I saw a lot of people were upset about.) I thought it absolutely butchered the Cryolophosaurus. The pose they use, that kind of rearing up roaring pose they seem to use for all their theropods now, works on something like Giganotosaurus, where it's this enormous (even the figure is really large for carnegie.) beast that can display physical dominance, but when it's this dinky little malnourished looking Cryo, it just looks downright silly.

I'm kind of on the fence about closed mouth theropods, when it's done well, it's really very cool, but I feel like a lot of companies just use it as an excuse to neglect sculpting proper teeth (although to be fair, some open-mouthed Theropods have very poor teeth as well. The Wild Safari Gorgosaurus for example.)

I dunno, it's not that the Carnegie Carnotaurus is a bad sculpt or anything like that, it's definitely one of their best, (For theropods, their best are Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, and Tenth Anniversary T-Rex in that order, IMO) it's just that it looks like it's trying to be some big hulking beast, like their Spinosaurus or Giganotosaurus, when in reality it is a very gracile predator.
