Hi guys, I'm new to this forum.

Due to Killer Queen have troubled to stand on its own, I give her an island of herself.

Killekor

Wow! The Diorama that you made for the REBOR Killer Queen is amazing! Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Shonisaurus

Nice diorama and sit down like in your house.

Libraraptor

Hello and welcome to the Forum!  Nice little diorama!

Brocc21

It looks like Rebor made it themselves.
"Boy do I hate being right all the time."

Foxngn

Thanks for the warmth welcome guys.

This is actually my first time done a diorama, it was a rush project as you can see some of the gravel doesn't stick properly which causes it to dropped.

PhilSauria

Yeah, great base. I meant to comment the other day but never got around to it. (LIfe, eh)

I have been making them as well for some of my toppling therapods, and I don't mind a good base anyhow. Hadn't thought of sticking gravel on, I just use one of the dog's old wire grooming brushes to make a pitted effect in the clay. I do recognise those cycad like plants - amazing what you can do with cheap plastic trees off of some of the Asian sites, I use them all the time. Just lately I have been using actual twigs (as trees, usually fallen) and actual stones (as rocks) to dress things up as well.

As I will be ordering this figure before the end of the year I can see another base coming up!

Yeah, would like to see another diorama fitted for killer queen.  :)

On another note, I'm thinking to make a combine island together with the nanmu berserker rex, will see I able to match up the detail or not first before start anything.

DinoToyForum

Nice diorama base. 8) Welcome to the forum!

Foxngn

It seems that the base still doesn't do work on my rex leaning issue, thus the base had been transferred to my berserker raptor

And here's my another WIP Base for my rex, it only could stand properly if i let it step on a rock.

PhilSauria

Nice work! I have been doing the same thing - making bases to keep these things upright. Currently making a base so that the old Carnegie Giganotosaurus can join the newest releases and be displayed along side them in the correct posture.

It is unfortunate that we pay so much for these models and still have to put in some work ourselves to get them to even stand on a shelf. On the plus side there is some enjoyment to be had in making the bases and seeing the figures posed on them.

Couldn't agreed more, but at least we still get the fun and satisfaction from making the base. Not that headache comes to think of it, but still i wish those company who's product keep on having leaning issue would have been more focus on it and fix it.

Anyway, somehow i finished up the base.
I use a layer of air dry clay  and follow up with another layer of filler.
I did used some organic material inside such as those woodstick i use as dead tree, the big rock was actually a washed sriyu stone, and those dry leaves that scatter around was oregano and whole basil herbs.

I also added a small mud area here.

Shonisaurus

You have been perfect that base, it looks like resin and is made of clay and nature material, dead tree branches among other pieces. Being resin looks like a resin base. I'm impressed.

Thanks for the compliment, Shonisaurus.
Still on my way on improving. My next project could be Nanmu Berserker Rex.

Killekor

You did an impressive job with your bases! Congratulations!

Hey guys, is me again back with another base for my nanmu carnotaurus.

Although the beast seems to be able to stand alone, but doesn't seems to be so secure, as a bit of tremor it could send him down on the ground, thus I'm going to gave him a natural base.

I just finished it up and wait for it to dry.
Just to share my humble base as below:
