Hello you friendly folk!

My name is Samantha France and I work for a London TV company called Mentorn Media where I'm working on a second series to our Worldwide successful show called 'Makes you Laugh Out Loud'.

We are currently working on an episode about kids and I'm trying to track down the kid behind the Dinosaur videos on YouTube (channel name: the prehistoric channel) as we'd love to have a chat with him about his videos.

He linked this forum on his YouTube so I thought one of you friendly bunch may be able to help me! this is the link to his amazing channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5L1edKb_Kf98_p3hQrBvcA

Any help would be amazing and I appreciate it, I understand that joining the forum may be a little intrusive but someone here might be able to shed some light on the subject for me!

thank you again!

Sam x

Hey Samantha, I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct or not but those videos seem to have the same style as the pictures in this thread, dinosauradventures34 may be your mystery man

Hi Samantha. I would like to tell you that this kid wasn't the one who started it all, the inspiration for the vast majority of dino youtubers is BionicleSaurus who makes the best quality dino toy videos on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/user/BionicleSaurus. Other youtubers include Matthew the Dinosaur King and TE Dinos (me lol)

Yes, dinosauradventures34 is the member who was involved in the Reddit/Youtube hubbub a few weeks ago. There was a short thread about it at the time, see: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3991.0

I just noticed that there are duplicate forum accounts for this member, the second one here: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1436 which is against the rules. So I'll merge them or something.

Anyway Samantha, you could try PM-ing one or both of those accounts. Hope this helps.

well raptor boy 101 and gloppy films are the ones that inspired bionicle saurus but yeah there are other youtubers that do higher quality videos

No offense to those that make the videos, but what is the point? They do not seem to be of that 'high' a quality and all of the figures used are usually moved around by the person's hand. (I personally don't understand the appeal, but that is besides the point). I could understand doing stop motion since that can be done better with more production, etc. Thanks

i dont do it but i think its mainly because

A.stopmotion is harder and more time consuming ,while a good stop motion is quite often fluent  sometimes they turn out unatural

B.simulation of what  the creatures would be like in their natural habitat ,(without watching a documentery i guess?)

lastly C.you get to control the creatures movements .

ehh but what would i know hope this helps

My series, I have a lot of plans for and honestly most series are quite bad the only two I enjoy are BionicleSaurus' Dinosaur Island and Matthew the Dinosaur King's Prehistoric Island.
