Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

It says "Gui Zhou Long"

Carcharodontosaurus

Either it's a fake, or someone risked their life smuggling it out of China. Make of that what you will for your odds.

Killekor

Thanks to all, but i don't think it's fake. It's impossible.

Thanks to all.

Well then it's almost definitely fake.

And frankly, I think that's the better option. Fossils being smuggled out of China are essentially "blood rocks", and on the off chance it is real, someone may have been executed so that it could end up on your wall. Sorry to be so blunt, but to speak of such things so frivolously and with such little regard for the harm fossil smuggling does, someone just needed to say it.

I hate to be the killjoy, but it´s almost certainly a fake.
On ebay Germany alone at this moment there are 20 or so of them being offered, some marked as "copies", some not.
But our much valued Admin is right, he probably can do the best analysis with better pictures.
Good luck!

I hope so. Good luck! Maybe we get more enlightenment by our Admin scrutinizing it.

Albertosaurus

I assume that you are quite young and "innocent" and understand the excitement of having a real unique fossil. It is almost impossible to smuggle a real fossil that easily from China. It is a resin copy for sure. Which is not that bad, to be honest. Resin replicas are quite nice to have, and if it is a nice replica, then much better! Probably you don´t know that most of the bones and skeletons displayed in museums are replicas of the real ones, and it doesn´t make them less impressive at all. So yeah, you have a resin copy. Hang it in the wall and enjoy it. By the way, with "parent" you mean "relative",right?

Agreed that better pictures would be a big help, but with all due respect I can already see some signs that this isn't genuine. The 'aura' in the matrix around the fossil (particularly noticeable around the shoulders and front limbs) makes it looks if at the very least it's been plastered into an existing rock that wasn't the original matrix - I believe this is common practice in Morocco with Mosasaur teeth. However, this could also be a result of rock being removed to expose more of the skeleton during preparation. I'd say that the vein cutting through the hindlimbs and tail is where the slab has been broken and stuck back together with plaster in order to make it look more authentic, which I've read is also common.

Sadly I feel it is far more likely that this is a fake, especially given the fact that, as Star has said, people who export fossils from China face he death penalty. But it is, as has also been said, very hard to draw conclusions from a photograph, and I will look forward to Dr Admin's verdict. If you do have a genuine fossil, you are extremely lucky as real Chinese Nothosaurs are hard to come by in the West. Even if it isn't, it's still a very beautiful replica and although this may seem make it a bit less special it does not detract from its beauty. So whatever the result, I'd say hang it on your wall with pride!

That is a replica. I've worked with fossil dealers briefly, and have seen an exact copy of that replica. The position of the cervicals and skull was a dead giveaway that I'd seen it before.

As others said, it's a nice fossil replica!
