Hi, here are some WIP Dino-Riders customs I'm working on.  Hopefully this helps get more customs by others. Dino Riders is a fun toy line.  If you have any comments or questions, plz post.

I'll start with the Allosaurus custom.  The main body is from the Jurassic Park toy line, IMO it's an excellent sculpt.
NOTE:  I uploaded a 7mb zip file containing 50 WIP higher res pics, you can download it here:

This is how I shape the brainbox/helmets and harness so that it fits perfectly.  Basically I use strips of 0.5-0.75mm thick styrene plastic, tape it down, then use a heat gun to soften the styrene and use my fingers to conform it to the shape of the dino.

then I build up the thickness using more styrene and filler

Same with the harness:

neodymium magnet magnets are excellent easy attachment/removal, very strong hold

Main body armour and Gun

made a seat belt to hold the figure in place.  I also recasted the Rulons series 2 figures, I'll get to that at a later post.

Work in Progress....

Kayakasaurus

Really neat stuff, looks great! I'm interested in the re cast as well.

Lanthanotus

Woah, that looks really good and professional and, maybe more important, full in line with the original ones.

Here I add some detail to the Deionychus/Rulon guns to fill the empty spaces:

Then I recast it with a simple open top mold

Painted with a metallic finish and pops right into place

Note: I have an extra pair of these recasts.  Already painted, just pop them into the gun,  $10USD shipped (paypal).  PM me if interested

What materials are you using to do your casting?

Digibasherx

This looks awesome.  I just picked up some smooth-on and have been wanting to test it out.  Also, JP Allie is not too bad on the after market, around 40 bucks.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Masterful work there sir  8)
You could use a 3D printer to make recasts as well...
It's just that I would not know how to execute that, since you would have to make 3D scans of the items you want to print I would think.
