Thaumatodracon is a new plesiosaur from Lyme Regis, UK, that I named and described.

It made the local news in Germany this week (the specimen is in Hanover), for example:
https://www.myheimat.de/hannover-suedstadt/natur/sensation-aus-dem-museumsmagazin-in-hannover-lagert-eine-neue-art-von-meeressauriern-d2829346.html

Here's my own article about it, too:

Incidentally, this is the eighth new taxon I've named or co-named! I was thinking I could contribute to the Scientific Names thread (http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=6015.0) but I don't want to give away my ideas for future species. ;D

I hope you're soon called upon to guide the creation of a toy based on it! I wouldn't mind one of the Dapedium as well (or whatever that fish is).
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

This isn't the only fossil he's named. He was, for example, involved in the naming and description of Pliosaurus kevani.

And, I think, Atychodracon megacephalus, another rhomaleosaurid. Congratulations again, Doctor Smith!
