Well, hello there! I just registered today to the forum and hope that I am doing this right xD I actually joined the forum to participate in the Diorama Contest but I also hope to meet some nice people around here and just talk about prehistoric related subjects. I'll just see how it goes.

So onto my first post here, that's a repaint I've done lately on the Safari LTD Velociraptor. I really love the sculpt on it and actually liked the original colors too. But unfortunately on mine the eyes and white spots were painted sloppy. So I just decided to make a repaint.
So yeah, Feel free to tell me what y'all think bout it, if you like it or not and what I could do better! See ya around soon!

I love it, it's so organic and neat, and really shows up the details! It looks pretty menacing 😊 Great shots, too!

I think it looks good - that is an appealing colour scheme.

Welcome to the forum, avatar_Gwyndor @Gwyndor!  I really like your Safari Velociraptor repaint!  You've made the new colouration work very well on it.  I feel much like you about this figure.  I love its sculpt, and I like its original colouration too.  The photos you've posted look realistic and appealing.  I've enjoyed looking at them.  Thanks for showing them!

Oho yes, this is what I was waiting for. Good stuff.

We need more repaints of Safari's newer feathered stars. Their safari paintjobs do their sculpts no justice.

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Very nice repaint! I already liked the colour-scheme on the original model, but this is definitely on par!

Cool! I planning on getting Safaris Anzu Figure and repaint it in "Saurian"Style. I really adore the colors for the male

I'm a bit late on this but here goes a critical critique. Overall I would give this a good 9/10. The base colors look good, so definitely a good pro.  As for the head the color is very bold and has a nice contrast with the base but still is not so bright or overwhelming that it is not overwhelming, again a plus. As with the throat, no complaints. The red-orange with black dots looks good, bold but not overwhelming. Now with the body is where my real complaints are, while the flat black-grey looks fine, but what would be possibly better is to make some feathers brown and maybe adding a few white dots, somewhat like a deer, reflecting how light falls on the animal and giving it more camouflage. So overall, its a good re-paint!

She's beautiful! The contrast between the bright head and the dull body reminds me a lot of some parrots.
