I made a topic last night urging everyone to look at the Spino that has been announced for release sometime in June, I think most would agree with me that it's way too small. However since everyone seems to accept that that figure is a done deal can't we urge Mattel to make another one? That's all I'm asking at this point, and as for myself, unless I am dead wrong about how big it actually is, I won't be buying the Legacy Extreme Chomping Spino.

I think everyone should be patient and make sure they'll settle for a Spino that honestly don't look as though it'll be much bigger than the Carnotaurus. I know it can be hard to tell, but as someone who has collected these things for 25 years I have a pretty good eye for this kind of thing. Thanks

I've set up a poll in this thread for people to say yes or no to this petition.  8)

I've got to be honest, while I completely understand the desire for wanting a company to produce a specific toy, I really don't think a petition is going to cut it. As someone else pointed out in the other thread you started, Jurassic World is only a fraction of all the merchandise Mattel produces. Also, the Spinosaurus didn't appear in JW (unless you count the skeleton) and isn't appearing in JW:FK. Its last theatrical appearance was 17 years ago, which is far longer than the main target audience for the current JW toys have been alive for.

Unless the JWFK toys sell tremendously well this year, it's highly unlikely that they're going to crank out another Spinosaurus toy at a larger scale. Heck, I'm still amazed that we even got the one we're getting.

I kinda feel the same as Suspsy, one poll on one (somewhat obscure) forum isn't going to achieve much...

WHO IN THE WORLD VOTED NO?!?! My goodness, do people still hate the Spino after it killed a T Rex in Jurassic Park 3?!?! Geez, for those who want one no matter how small it is just don't vote, I'm trying to do everything I can to see that it will someday happen!!! I can't believe 7 people voted against a correctly scaled Spinosaurus in the Thrash n Throw line!!! Shoot if for no other reason vote yes for the sake of other retailers besides Target having it on their shelves!!

Ok, I get it, maybe I shouldn't have made people actually care about something that isn't out yet, based on the fact everyone is ACTUALLY voting NO on the poll astounds me, I am truly dumbfounded that no one seems to care that the upcoming Spinosaurus toy may not be size accurate seeing as it's in the same line as the Legacy T Rex which isn't as large or size accurate as the Thrash n throw Rex.

Throughout the years there's been countless T Rex toys, old and new from Jurassic park and only ONE decent Spinosaurus toy from Jurassic Park. Above anything else I hope I've wasted my time and effort and the Spino will be a good sized toy but if I'm right I really really hope that everyone will bug Mattel until they do get it right. I'm gonna stop posting about it and just wait and see how big the Legacy Spino actually is.

There's one thing that is fans have on our side if everyone would be willing to give feedback to Mattel. Yes I know they make ALL KINDS of toys and just picked up this liscense but at the same time, the liscense was taken from their biggest rival, Hasbro. If I were Mattel right now, I would try my best to really consider feedback from fans and go the extra mile if for nothing else, to stick it to my rival. Kenner, owned by Hasbro yet independent as far as what they do, DID NOT make the big Spinosaurus, Hasbro taken over by that point, so what a better way to really stick it to them than to make an even bigger better, more size accurate Spino that does the same thing as the Thrash n Throw T Rex?

Finally, again I hope THIS Spino will be at least as big as the Thrash n Throw T Rex, but if not, please, it won't hurt to ask for one that is. Thanks everyone

I love Spinosaurus as much as the next guy (I mean, there's two spinosaurids in my avatar and another in my sig), but I kinda just don't feel like the toy is worth this much hassle. It's just a toy. Yes, a film accurate and appropriately sized Spinosaurus would be nice, but it's not the end of the world if we don't get one.

I voted no cause I don't see the problem, honestly. The Spinosaurus isn't out yet, and there's nothing that actually can make you believe it'll be out of scale with the rest of the legacy line, which is supposed to be all in scale, if I got it right. For what I can see in the promo images my impression is that is just sligthly bigger than the EC T-Rex, which would be accurate. We must wait and see the real thing before we start to complain, but I agree with people saying Mattel wouldn't care at all about such a protest.

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I just got off my first topic I posted and seen that yes, it looks like the Legacy Spino WILL look just fine next to the Legacy Trex, which I am beyond happy about btw, but all that aside why did so many vote that they DID NOT wish to see Mattel make a bigger, even nicer more articulated Thrash n Throw Spino? I personally bought the T n T Trex as I don't live near a Target (closest one is over 2 hours away) and it wouldn't have mattered as I really like the size and function of the T n T Trex anyway.

I'm guessing a lot of u guys on here may want to save a few bucks, don't care, or just don't have room for a toy that big, but I'm still curious why those who don't want to see it happened actually voted no...I know Mattel isn't going to pay attention to 20 votes on an online forum, but what if they did??........ Please if a larger poll or petition ever makes it online somewhere and it actually gets large enough for Mattel to possibly see it, please for the love of all dinosaur toys and collectors, either vote YES I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT HAPPEN or just don't vote at all, if they actually make one NOBODY has to actually BUY it....if Mattel can afford to make 5, 6, however many different variations of the Trex there is, it won't hurt them one bit to make one more Spinosaurus, this stuff is selling like crazy right now so if the right person working for Mattel even smells that a few people want a bigger Spino, they may very well make it, I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do or even suggest it, all I'm asking is please hide any negativity toward it. Unless I'm missing something there's no good reason to vote no on a multi million dollar company making one more toy, even if I didn't want it, a lot of kids out there would love to have it, as well as adults, no use wasting the time it takes to cast a no vote, this isn't a political election here lol. Thanks guys for listening

I would like a better painted spinsaurus, the face on the current one is....eughhh. But a thrash and throw spinosaurus would not be more articulated than a legacy figure. Also, I voted no, because there are characters more deserving of a figure than another spinosaurus. *cough, cough* Brachiosaurus.

I, the forum's JP toy extraordinaire, vote no.

1. It will never be perfect.
2. Legacy is enough.
3. Too many dinosaurs are too many dinosaurs already.
4. They must focus on other species.
5. I vote instead for the possibility of a colossal Mamenchisaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Roarivores Parasaurolophus, Corythosaurus, Edmontosaurus.
6. Personal space issues.

Do not hit "quote reply" with messages saying that it is not feasible. It is.

Edit: Yes. I talk about producing giant dinosaurs when I have limited space.
I will make space for those species, none for Spinosaurus. I have both JP3 Animatronic Spinosaurus variants AND the Poseable one, and they are enough.

I mean, JW:FK isn't about Spinosaurus, I don't even think Spinosaurus appears in the film. So, for Mattel, it wouldn't really make much sense for them to make a Spinosaur toy. And giving us just one Spinosaurus for the Legacy collection is still really generous of them, in my opinion. So yeah, that's why I voted "no".
