I'm not sure if this is the right place for the thread but I've just grabbed a very nice hidden gem. And some nice items for my nieces and nephews. Can you discern the treasure from this eBay front photo like I managed too. I'll add photos when in hand.... Post what you see :-)

Be good to see other people's lucky finds too and how well they were buried.

Well, I once got a lot with an Invicta Lambeosaurus, Stegosaurus as well as Carnegie Protoceratops for 1 Euro + shipping.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Great result for a euro.

Wow aren't you extremely lucky getting that. Isn't that like the absolute rarest of the WWD figures too?

It could potentially be among the rarest figures that were not custom made in general.

I believe this is only the third one that's been documented as found.

In that case, I'm very glad to take witness to this thread. avatar_UK @UK Thank you for sharing with us here about this, as I think this is the first time I've even gotten a look at one of these. And again congrats with such a lucky find, and I thought I was lucky for getting my hands on the Allosaurus a few months ago, haha.

Congratulations avatar_UK @UK ! It must have cost a ton for shipping. Not as rare as your prize but I once won a JH Miller Dimetrodon in a lot of chinasaurs. No one else bid until the last minute when someone else who must have recognized it tried to snipe it from me. I won it for more than I'd hoped but still way less than the value of the Miller.

Wow! The Holy Grail! Congratulations!

These things do not happen twice in life. I think you should also play the lottery.

Silvanusaurus

This is the kind of thing that tempts one to start obsessively trawling through ebay every day on the off chance...

Congratulations!  You have very sharp eyes - and I suspect a great deal of perseverance.

Congratulations!  You have very sharp eyes - and I suspect a great deal of perseverance.

I have a number of friends overseas who I look out for various figures. Like everyone I'm aware of the Toyway Ornithocheirus existence but never really thought I'd find one so I've never really searched consistently or extensively for it.

Since 6th Jan I've been really lucky to come down with flu. This years strain has been a real joy to behold and for the past week or so searching eBay has been nowhere near the top of my list. Last night I was just scrolling through the app on my mobile phone and of course come across this auction.

A cursory view of the lot showed it was full of items that I run miles to avoid but the little fuzzy figure seemed to have some vague recognition. Scrolling through the next picture of two revealed lovely figures for youngster but not a lot else. I continued scrolling paying little attention unit I reached this photo.....

This caught my attention a little but not a great deal. I scrolled to the final photos and these were of no importance. I paid a little more attention scrolling back down the photos once more but still pretty lazily and disinterested in the lot when.....

Now my pulse was little more raised and then the big reveal..... Boom

At first couldn't believe it. Straight on to google for a comparative image, then back to eBay, back and forth. Confirmed it was the real deal, how did I protect my find. Joy of joy, buy it now option. Even a best offer but heck the seller deserved they price (which was overpriced for the rest of the lot I might add).

A real tonic to help with the flu, and now in anticipation I'm watching the tracking to see how far this is now away :-)

One of my top finds and rewards the hours invested in finding these rarities. InvicterHunter is the same, investing hours on eBay fr,de,UK and .COM. So whilst he might have jaw dropping rarities, he does the ground work. I'm the same when well.

So search for dinosaur joblots, bundles and collections. Know your prey, be able to visualise it and then spend some time reviewing lots of uninspiring auctions.

Gwangi

I've had dreams of finding gems like that in lots, or yard sales, or wherever. Sometimes the dreams come true but never anything of that caliber. Bravo!

Crackington

Wow! Well done UK - my eyesight is pretty bad and I don't think I would have spotted this.

Once it turns up, please post some pics so we have more to look at than the one by the sink!  ;)

UK

Will do. It will be in the bathroom display shortly

Shonisaurus

I thought Toyway's ornithocheirus was almost non-existent, I never thought that someone from DTF had it in their collections.

I congratulate you UK I'm glad for you.
