I think I see what's going on. Make sure you're including the file type at the end.

For example:
https://imgur.com/a/V9EQnFZ

needs to be
https://i.imgur.com/ZBPj4Qf.jpeg

Imgur can be a pain about this, don't copy "image link" copy the "direct link".

You are tagging pages.e.g. https://imgur.com/a/V9EQnFZ but you should be tagging images. For example, the url for the image at that page is https://i.imgur.com/ZBPj4Qf.jpeg

If you put that in the image tags the image will appear. See:
