The largest known specimen of Protoichthyosaurus prostaxalis has been scanned and reconstructed and here is the result:


(A is an old reconstruction, B and C are revised and based on analysis of the scans)

The authors estimate that with a skull length of about 80 cm, the entire animal would have been around 3.5 meters long.
