Halichoeres

A very nicely preserved specimen of Prolacerta broomi, a primitive archosaur relative, gives some new information on the skull, forelimb, and other parts of the anatomy.

Here's a new reconstruction of the skull, but click through to the paper for photographs of the actual specimen.


And a new phylogenetic analysis of archosauromorphs based on characters coded from this specimen:
