avatar_Jetdin @Jetdin You have a varied and beautiful collection. By the way, the red brachiosaurus, which company does it belong to? I congratulate you for the good taste of choosing the figures.

thank you shonisaurus.
it is the playskool definitely dinosaurs ultrasaurus. a large toy from the late 80s. pretty hard to come by but i found this one on ebay for a good price.

im a true sucker for sauropods and i especially love huge sauropod figures! but these days companies arent making sauropods as big as they used to due to cost

Shonisaurus

I am also a follower of the big toy sauropods, and unfortunately as you comment now they no longer make big figures of sauropods for the economic costs is a pity.

Is that the CollectA baobab in the center? It's quite a bit bigger than I thought!

Wow,  nice, huge sauropods! Now you need Dino Riders Brontosaurus, I guess.

Every time I see that Ultrsaurus it reminds me of the one from A Dinosaur Story. And when I think of him I think of "Woah he just went right through me!" And begin silently laughing.
"Boy do I hate being right all the time."

this just came in the mail.
i bought of taobao.
seeing how cheap they were, i thought they were bootlegs. but trust me when i say, these are legit! the heft and the quality are legit!
the full coloured one i got for around 15usd.
the semi coloured one for only 6usd can you imagine that!
can anyone explain guys how they are so cheap? maybe these were the reject pieces that didnt cut the QC checkup? especially the semi painted one. but i can almost guarantee you these are the legit figures just by the quality and heft of the figures themselves.

weirdly enough, the semi coloured one is the one that can stand on its own two feet haha

couple of findings.
the semi coloured one is also missing his tongue. the metal rod on the rear right leg sticks out a bit, but is barely noticeable.
the full coloured one has slight bubbling of the right leg, possibly bubbling issues during casting (weird though. dont tell me their staff fully painted the piece before actually noticing the defect)

so its safe to say these are probably both legit safari figures but ones that have slight defects here and there. i guess they allow their staff to sell them for cheap instead of throwing them away? either way im happy with the purchase as the defects are almost unnoticeable.
and i got 2 t rexes. i guess i will touchup a bit on the paint of the semi coloured one.

avatar_Jetdin @Jetdin I congratulate you on your new findings. Honestly if they are more affordable from the economic point of view it does not matter that they are models with minimal defects like this case or used models.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Lovely collection pics, especially the sauropod herd at the top.

To me it looks like the rex on the left is a knock-off but the one on the right looks like the real deal.

thank you gothmog!
you would be surprised! both have the exact same heft and quality feel, just that one isnt fully painted. i have already filled in the gaps in colour for the half painted one. :-)

Oh right, maybe, like you said, it's a factory reject or unfinished piece?

yes, im guessing both are factory rejects as both have slight QC issues near the right ankle.
