Halichoeres

Meet Arisierpeton simplex, a new synapsid from the Permian of Oklahoma. It's a member of the Caseidae, the family that includes the wonderfully derpy Cotylorhynchus. This is a smaller animal, and known from less complete remains: just a few dentaries, maxillae, and dorsal vertebrae.
