A team of researchers took microCT scans of many specimens of Rhinochelys, a sea turtle from the middle Cretaceous, revising the taxonomy of the genus and running a new phylogenetic analysis with the data furnished by the scans. This allows them to date the age of the sea turtles, and the anatomy will be useful to anyone curious about the anatomy of not only Rhinochelys, but also its more famous relatives Archelon and Calcarichelys.
