Portunatasaurus, a new basal mosasauroid

Halichoeres

From the Cenomanian (early Late Cretaceous) of Croatia comes this fossil of a basal mosasauroid, which might influence the interpretation of paddle evolution. Meet Portunatasaurus krambergeri. Here's a diagram of the forelimb morphology for it and several relatives.
