Safari Ltd can't make mammals?

I thought only carnegie was not allowed to do mammals?

There is at least one mammal -- the woolly mammoth -- in the Carnegie collection; I have one myself:

I think everyone is talking about how Safari can't make anymore mammals. Still, shouldn't they be off the market too?

Or, that was just the reason they gave, when in actuality the sales of those figures were mostly terrible and they didn't want to lose more money. No one ever said that, but I would guess it's a consideration.

Exactly how terrible were the sales for mammal figures? I'm curious.

I'm not saying that is a factor, I'm just saying it might have been a factor. After all, if they were a financial success, I'm guessing that somehow a company would find a way or a loophole--for example, using a slightly different size of figure.  But they haven't. I don't' know what sales were like, and wouldn't expect anyone to know or say specifically.
