I am very very impressed with Safari Limited's Velociraptor models, so much so, that I decided to get 6 of them for one of my Dinosaur SAGA Age Of Magic Monster wargame army's.
My problem is making them all look slightly different to each other. Their jaws are fixed which does not help me one bit and their arms are also immobile so I have had to put on my thinking cap and warm up my single brain cell.

I decided to use Sue's hair dryer (always when she is at work  :))) to heat up necks, arms, tails etc so I can move/bend them into different shapes. This is done quickly then the poor unsuspecting model is plunged into ice cold water.
I am also doing subtle shade differences on parts of their body's and tails plus for the Alpha a  bit of extra colour on his/her head. So far I have finished two apart from glossing their eyes.

The continuing popularity of the JP concept of the velociraptor sure has given new life to Safari's older, featherless raptors, which were excellent models in their time. I like your spins on the idea.

Really love the base work for these. The different colors and textures for the grass add some great visual interest and the flowers are a nice touch.

Are the black oval bases from something else or do you make them? I like the size.

Thank you, I made these but they are very similar to the one's produced by Gamers Grass, just a lot cheaper ;)

Thank you Shonisaurus.

I am now making some bases that are more of a desert style, it gives me options for various terrain engagements.
