Gone at the age of 99. I'm usually not upset too much by the passing of celebrities, but I teared up a bit upon hearing the news. :'( She was a truly wonderful human being.

We all knew it was coming but we all hoped it wouldn't, and when someone is alive that long it almost seems like they'll be here forever. The news was a shock, especially on the last day of the year and so close to her 100th, but she left one hell of a legacy behind.

It won't be too much longer now for David Attenborough, that one will hit me especially hard.
