In the world of plesiosaurs, Terminonatator is one name that I had to practice to avoid tripping up on. One is inclined to to say "Terminator", or "Termin-oh-nator", but the extra "at" at the end makes it a bit of a tongue twister:

ter-min-oh-nay-tah-tor

Names like Mnyamawamtuka, that have neighboring letters that don't exist in English, I have to think about before I say them. I also have to think about names from Chinese that have lots of Qs and Xs.

It isn't difficult to say any of the individual sounds, but I find the name "Dynamoterror" so dumb that I can never get through it. By the second syllable I'm so nauseated that I have to press my lips together and run for the toilet.

I recall when I had difficulty determining the right way to pronounce Oxalaia because I wasn't sure if it would be pronounced similarly to Oaxaca or not.

I'm also noticing that the bulk of this thread boils down to names with a lot of syllables or unique syllabic stresses or names based in a different language than Greek

Its from Brazil. They still pronounce /x/ as /sh/ in Portuguese, but too my knowledge it evolved into
[x ]in Spanish.
Similar with the /j/, my friend said its pronounced like a French j, in contrast to Spanish pronunciation of
[x ]again. So Tapejara is more like "tapezhara" than "tapehara"(which its surprisingly common) Atleast that is what my friend said.
For me, it will always be "Tape-Jar"

yeah, finding the Portuguese root words is what helped me learn to pronounce it (this works for most binomial names)

Tuojiangosaurus still gives me a lot of trouble, personally.

Yeah, even with Greek we've had to adopt a bunch of conventions (like silent initial p) to make it manageable for us English speakers.

This is how I feel about Thanos.

Personally, Mosaiceratops is a bit of a head scratcher. Is it Mosaic-eratops? Mosai-seratops? Mosaic-seratops?

And in keeping with non-Greek and Latin languages being difficult, Nqwebasaurus. I think it's something like this (skip to 0:02):

I think the J is very similar to an English J. I have been saying this more like twoh-jeeANG-o-saurus (twoʊdʒi'æŋ). But I might be wrong.
