Would love to see more pics of your Wuerhosaurus! T @thomasw100

I keep going back and forth on the PNSO Wuerho. It's more accurate to known material of the genus than HLG's take, but the cartoonish dorsal plate paint really detracts from the figure for me.

So many commercial and "toy" figures look much better when modified in terms of colour and/or anatomy! I really appreciate the fact that people are out there who do things like that!

Will try to take some more pictures in the next days. I would say that if the highlights on the plates is what bothers you most, this should not be too difficult to repaint. Probably some miniature painters can do this.

The story behind this repaint is that shortly after my PNSO Wuerhosaurus came, I dropped it and it got some bad paint chipping. It seems that on some of the more recent PNSO figures the paint is fairly thin and you can easily damage this.

At that point I was not confident doing such paint fixes myself and so I ordered another one. Then I started with doing paint fixes, mostly paint wear on the feet, and it worked quite well. So I felt confident to fix my damages Wuerhosaurus and this came out nice.

Then the question was what to do with the second one and eventually I decided to send it for repaint.

It's been a while since I got this guy, but I've been unable to share it here. Another fantastic mod by dinosaur-models-artwork. Improved keratinous cover on the maxilla, a slightly bigger horn, and corrected arms. Pattern based on Chalarodon madagascariensis.

Another customization by dinosaur-models-artwork: HLG tyrannosaurus rex: lips, nostrils repositioning, exoparia and repainting. There you go.

What could have been! (A least for a different audience than intended.)

I would gladly pay an extra 10-20 bucks per figure if they just had paint jobs 75% this good straight from the manufacturer! lol

For a very brief time I considered buying another HLG rex and having Bravo Models modify it in a similar fashion for me, but no, now that the new ED Evolution line is leading off with what seems to be a terrific lipped rex at 1/33, I'll go in that direction.
