hi, apologies if this isn't the right place to post this, this is only my second post after forgetting this site existed for a couple years, oops.
basically, i had a question regarding selling my collection. does anyone know of any toy collection buyers in the US, specifically the Midwest? i need to raise money for a surgery, preferably asap. it's either this, or selling my car, which is far from ideal. any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It's hard to sell off an entire collection. I tried local comic shops, toy shops, ect to sell off my JW toy collection. Had to do it myself. If you have a lot of vintage pieces or semi-vintage 90s ect try Demarxo on eBay.

avatar_solarsaurus @solarsaurus Depends where you are in the Midwest. In MN we have the MN Toy Posse group on Facebook. It's a big group and there's likely someone who would make you an offer. There may be similar groups for other states on social media. Otherwise, yeah, toy or comic shops.

Not sure if this is the same person, but Joe De Marco has had an advert in Prehistoric Times classifieds for a long time seeking to buy collections. The email is jdemarco13@comcast.net

Good luck and hope it all gets sorted out for you.

so unfortunately i don't have any pictures right now as the hoard is at my parents' house, but it takes up a whole room. Carnegie, Safari Ltd., some CollectA, Papo, PNSO, Nanmu, Mattel JW, i have a lot. my Carnegie collection is pretty nearly complete with just a few vintage randos i never bothered getting. i can ask my mom for photos and i'll add them after classes.

Would it mean too much work for you to sell them seperately? You´d probably get more out of this.

i'm thinking about selling the rarer/higher end models separately, but the regular figures(like safari+vintage) i'd prefer to get rid of in bulk. my deadline for this would be around May. next time i'm at my parents', i'll try to group together some figures and maybe post it on here for people to shoot me some offers (PNSO, Rebor, Nanmu, rarer Carnegies)

I would be interested in seeing what you have for sure.

It's at least possible to get lucky. When I started in this hobby, I bought three different people's entire collections to start my own. Of course, back then I had the time and space to deal with re-selling all of the extras that I didn't want. Now it wouldn't be worth it to me. But there might be someone for whom it is.

My mom sent me photos of my collection, I just don't know how to attach them :/ i'd be happy to email them or send them over instagram, if either of those options works. i'm thinking that i'll sell rebor/nanmu/PNSO individually or in small lots (~3), and larger lots for smaller/cheaper figures

I buy cheaper figures to resell for our nonprofit here, if you get down to the dregs, things you'd take a couple bucks for I wouldn't mind looking them over.
