The feet on the new Rex look much better. Big feet used to equal stability. I see they also increased the ankle and calf size?  Maybe it has stronger internal engineering?

Has anyone had any luck getting the hammond Spino lately? I didnt have a lot of money when it came out and now it looks like its out of stock everywhere and has been scalped to hell and back.

I'm wondering about it too.

I have not seen the Spinosaurus available online or in person. I really thought it would be more readily available, like the Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus. I suppose there's still a chance but I'm not feeling optimistic about it.

I've been thinking the same thing - I held off on buying because I figured it would have better distribution/still be around for holiday sales season. If they don't restock it for the holidays, though, they'll be missing out on a lot of potential revenue... Maybe in the fall?

Same with the banner. If it was "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" that'd been amazing, but "Fans" is referencing something I have absolutely no connection to.

Regarding the feet, sometimes toy companies release a sure thing to make sure they have a product when they need it, and then make changes later.

In the initial release, it was more paramount to be absolutely sure the figure could stand, and to get a Hammond Collection T. rex out when it needed to be. Engineering and tweaking continues to go on behind the scenes to make figures better, but having a big-footed figure on shelves is better than no figure at all.

So they release it when it's "good enough" and make improvements on future figures. All toy companies do this all the time. Otherwise you'd never have any figures coming out.

Regarding the banner, the "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" banner was featured in the "Escape from Isla Nublar" set from 2020 that included Ellie, John Hammond and two subpar raptors. It's discontinued now but can be found on the secondary market for around $50.

This set being a San Diego Comic Con exclusive, it's more of a nod to the fans so it makes sense the banner would be comic con themed.

Reminder to everyone that BBTS takes a looooong time before putting up order for Hammond Collection figures, it happened with the Carnotaurus.

Granted it is a bit weird because here in Europe the Spino and Stego are already availble on amazon.

Amazon UK still seems to be getting regular restocks. I missed the first inital wave but managed to snag one recently. He's big and beautiful!

I'm glad Mattel has continued to improve this line rather than resting on their laurels. I recall there was a handful of adamant defenders arguing that such large feet were a necessary evil of such figures but it has been very encouraging to see that that is not in fact the case

JWR Series 3 minis! Suchomimus CC, Pachyrhinosaurus CC, and Gryposuchus are new for this wave. Does anyone have the codes for the rest of them? Trying to track down the Dreadnoughtus and Pachyrhino+Grypo sets.

Just got a notification that the HC spino was back in stock at Target, first time in weeks I've seen that, but it was a false alarm. I leapt into action as soon as I got the notification only for the app to tell me it's still out of stock. Why must you play with my feelings this way, Target??

Keep checking regularly as there can be a lag with apps and websites updating once info of a restock is received.  It may well be back in stock.

Thank you for the heads up! I ordered mine today. I'm sure it'll be awesome when it gets here (however long that takes).
