On that note, it's a bummer there wasn't figural merch for Prehistoric Planet!

Quote from: Nehalennia on April 24, 2025, 12:40:40 PMDid the Wild Past Majungasaurus ever see the light of day? I remember it being so close to release, but I've never seen it actually available.

It's been about a year since Wild Past announced they're on indefinite hiatus and given there's been 0 updates regarding the Majungasaurus I think it's safe to say it's not getting released. Bit of a shame as they were showing real progress and I was excited to see new players in the market. Either way that does add to the pool of figures for this thread including:

- Chasmosaurus and young
- Majungasaurus
- Rapetosaurus
- Segnosaurus

Don't know if I'd include the Shapeways line because they were released at one point or another but now that Shapeways is kaput I wouldn't argue against it.

Don't forget about the Deinonychus and Tenontosaurus as well. Was there a Maiasaura as well or am I misremembering? But yeah I'm bummed the Majungasaurus and Rapetosaurus never got made either. And the Chasmosaurus and baby. And they got the skin right too (which both an adult and baby of the one species were preserved with).

Edit: Wasn't there plans for a Plateosaurus as well?

I think the full list of planned Wild Past figures was:
Chasmosaurus
Deinonychus
Maiasaura
Majungasaurus
Plateosaurus
Rapetosaurus
Sarcosaurus
Scelidosaurus
Segnosaurus
Tenontosaurus
Teratosaurus

Three of those genera have since been made by HLG. I'd say the one least likely to be made by someone else is Teratosaurus, as it's not technically a dinosaur. A Plateosaurus from someone else is a near-certainty.
