Tylosaurus

That Gigantosaurus is sweet, I seen a lot of repaints of that one in the old Forusm as this one too :)

I like the side by side of very cool figures and the chinasaurs! I believe they enjoy being among the others.

I think so too. And you know what? I think my chinasaurs have never looked better. If only I had more room to display my dinosaur figures properly, not just on top of shelves...

You are absolutely right, it is a magnificent collectible. I love its fierce looks  8)

Iguanodon

U.K.R.D. 1992

Details are in place and I really like the head. Color reminds me that of an iguana (hence the name, eh?). Forelimbs are sculpted in a peculiar manner; I could imagine him doing the robot dance. Thumbs up for this oldie, anyway.

Pachycephalosaurus

Jurassic Park

This tiny thing came out from a JP easter egg, along with three other dinosaur toys from the same series many many years ago.  It use to have a pleasant scent of chocolate for a long time. This Pachy is having a great amount of details for such a small figure. It can't stand on its own, which is the only hindrance, really.

Papo 2006

A cute one from Papo. Colors are slightly cartoonish, yet I still like them. In my hands this has the consistency of near rubber, instead of the tougher plastic in other Papo dinos. A fine piece of art with nice touch of details.

U.K.R.D. 1992

Museum quality or not, I am loving the U.K.R.D. Pachycephalosaurus, for sure. It has realistic coloration, sweet details and calm pose. I bet this is my favorite of the entire 1992 series.

That UKRD Pachy is really nice.

..Why do I always read UKRD as URKED in my brain..!? :o

Pachyrhinosaurus

Papo 2010

The pose is superb. He is charging at you like an angry bull! Painted with an earthly tone which is realistic yet slightly dull. I am still not sure whether I like the antlers...

Parasaurolophus

Papo 2005

They just keep coming. Papo is so far my favorite toy company - not because of the scientific accuracy but rather because of the incredibly life-like appearance of all their dinosaurs. This Parasaurolophus isn't an exception. I especially like the forelimbs, head and pose of this sculpt. Absolutely astonishing.

Safari 1989 (?)

One of my very first dinosaur toys and if not the ultimate favorite, it comes at least second. As a child I used to play a lot with this little one and it shows on the worn surface. I practically like everything about this figure; I even like the fact that it is a bit chubby  ;D

Harukin

Time for the nondinosaurs  :))

Plesiosaurus

Chinasaur 1992?

This used to be among my ultimate favorite toys during my childhood. The best thing about this toy is that it is made out of soft and bendable rubber - so it is easy and fun to play with (yes, the head has been chewed  ;D).  And it also has some amount of detail, too.

Papo 2010

This is a one angry looking creature. I like the head a lot. Otherwise, it looks chubby and too Loch ness -styled with its curled neck. Also pose is dull, not something one would expect from Papo. Level of detail and paintwork is fine.

Pteranodon

Carnegie 1988

Again one of my first prehistoric toys and therefore very precious, though not the most beautiful. The level of detail is nice, position of the neck is great and I kind of like the wings, too. What I do not like is the shiny plastic surface.

Papo 2006

This must be one of the most detailed Pteranodons out there. The chest area reminds me of a human. Although I am not particularly a fan of nondinosaurs, everything with wings is neat - and this is a neat figure.

U.K.R.D. 1992

Posture is too static, color is way too simple and it really looks like a bat crossed with a chicken. But I am a fan of U.K.R.D. 1992 series, so what can you do...?

Metallisuchus

Nice collection! We have a lot of the same stuff. That Papo Ankylosaurus... I don't think it's accurate if you call it that name. For whatever reason, a lot of people will depict a Euoplocephalus and call it Ankylosaurus. I suppose it's akin to the Deinonychus/Velociraptor case... D&*% identity thieves!

Congratulations for the collection, but do you wanna know what i REALLY like? The pics of the single models. Yeah, neat angles and perspectives, simple and evocative at the same time  8)

Amen to that. It shows the finer details as well.

sauroid

i love your collection. the description under every figure is nice too.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Harukin

Long time, no see. But now I am back in business. So here comes something with a sail...

Spinosaurus

Carnegie 2008

There is something I really dislike about Carnegie models. Maybe it is the tripedal stance of their carnivores, dull paint or hard, rigid plastic, dunno. Anyhow, this piece has wonderful level of detail, scientific accuracy is superb and he is a big guy. Perhaps with some hot water treatment and new paint he could become phenomenal?

Papo 2007

One of my top favorites of all time. Amazing detail, pose and paint. I have encountered two flaws, though. First one is that the paint has become somehow sticky over time and the second one is that he doesn't want to shut his mouth (seriously). Others have said that this replica has had troubles standing, but luckily, not mine.

Schleich 2002

This must be the ugliest piece from the Schleich mini series. But it doesn't matter as he completes my collection. And he does has some level of detail.

tyrantqueen

Not gonna lie...that Schleich Spino is well..ugly. It's hard to find a good retro spinosaurus these days though. The old Kaiyodo was a good one, but it's near impossible to get.
