Hello Dinotoyforum!

This is my first post! I'm nearing completion of a Centrosaurus model that I've been sculpting from epoxy. I thought this would be a good place to get some feedback. I wanted it to be scientifically accurate. This is my third model from epoxy and so far it's my favorite.

Ok this is embarrassing... How do I post photos???

Their is no place under attachments and I tried drag-N-drop?? I will post them when I find out how sorry :-\ I am new to this forum thing

Forums (generally) don't allow you to upload photos directly, rather you have to upload them via an image host, such as imgur, deviantart, photobucket, or even social media sites (although the latter is ill advised). Once the photos are uploaded you right click and select copy image location, then you paste that in between the image codes:

[img] *insert image location here* [/ img]
(just without the space between / and img)

Welcome to the forum by the way! Looking forward to seeing your sculpt!  8)

I would like to try and cast it. Can anyone recommend how to go about that? I've looked at smooth-on silicone. It would defiantly be a bit of a challenge but I do hame some plastiline clay by Jolly king that I could use to help with multi-part mold making. It would be nice to do it in just two mold halves

As good as any Centrosaurus I've seen. The frill might be a little tall for a centrosaurine, but otherwise, perfect!
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Dinomike

Looks great! Can't wait to see it painted! Did you use Super Sculpey?

Paleogene Pals

Very well done. Great job with the epoxy sculpt! It is so amazing the number of talented artists that come to this forum.

paleoferroequine

Yes, very good. I suppose my only comment would be the frill. It is a bit too long and should be subhorizontal. But there are variations like in many animals.

I assume this is C. apertus?

This one is a bit longer.

Kayakasaurus

Yes to Paleoferroequine and Triceratops83. The frill is too long, I was baseing it off of this  Deviantart link:  before I looked at actuall skulls.

Here is an Acrylic Centrosaursus I did before the sculpt. I ran out of room on the canvas but it actually turned out closer to the true frill size :))

It is actually amazing how varied  centrosaurus were:

Keep in mind these are  arranged in ontogenetic order, with A. being the youngest.

Yes these do show different maturity levels. But you can still see how that different specimens have dramatically different nasal horns. If you imagine a transition it wouldn't work... The horn would flip back and forth. Also 4/10 seem to have brow horns. But I see what your saying :).

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?
