For the die-hard JP fans:

Given that the board is cheap printed cardboard and the pieces are unpainted plastic, I think the asking price of $45 is a rip-off. But that JP brand is pretty powerful.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I havent seen the set in person, but I think most boards are cardboard?  The Pirates of the Caribbean set I have is.  The figures are plastic but hey Walmart wanted 15.00 for a bag of unpainted jp figures.  you have about two bags of those here plus the board for 10.00..40.00 might have been better but they do offer free shipping.

The figures themselves look rather amazing though, potentially the best JP Pteranodon yet even if it is the JW version.

Was trying to check shipping costs to Canada since I can only assume that would make it prohibitively expensive, but apparently they only accept credit card orders so I'll have to wait and see if anyone else gets them in stock besides Noble themselves.

If you ever need it, I can order and ship to you.

Is that supposed to be a Pteranodon? It doesn't even look like a JP one with that diminished crest.

Honestly it is a very original chess. It does not seem to me to be at all expensive within the whole 45 dollars is quite an acceptable price.

I think this is a decent set. Well sculpted and posed. Not painted but is that necessary for a chess set? A painted alternative like the bottle cap types would have been nice but not essential.

It's a JW one.

CityRaptor

Yep, starting with JW female Pteranodons were given small crests, like the real deal.  Most merchandising however still uses the longer crests.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no
