Really good picture. I really like it  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

First off, happy new year to all of you!
A couple of weeks ago I found this giant sheet of paper, around 45x70cm, and I immediately knew what I wanted to paint on it, a specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex, my favorite dinosaur, was brought to  So here she is, Trix, in all of her glory.

I absolutely adore it.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Thank you! The drawing before the painting was done quite a while ago so I don't exactly remember, it probably took around 2,3 maybe 4 hours in total. I left the drawing for quite a while because I thought the painting was going to take ages so I waited untill the holidays. Trix herself took around 4-5 hours with around an hour for the dirt, trees, rocks and cleanup. So in totat that'd be 7-10 hours.

Something happened with the Eotriceratops and I lost a lot of progress with it, not feeling that drawing at the moment.

I did do this one though: a Kelenken with some bare patches for thermoregulation.

Terrifying. Nice work on the feathers.

Great work as usual. Trix looks suitably stunning and the Kelenken is very convincing. It definitely has a proper ratite feel about it. I particularly like the colour schemes you've done for these two.

I'm gonna second the realism on Kelenken. Patches in all the right places. Well done!

Thank you! But it was actually not my intent to make it look ratite-like. It's one of the more common ways of restoring large, extinct, flightless birds out there. I based it off of their closest living relatives, Seriemas, which is actually what the color scheme is also based on.
