I found this on Imgur and Reddit. No explanations, no photographer ID, no location....nothing but photo.

No it is not. It is probably a model. Very nice one though.

Paleogene Pals

Stunning model! I love the paint scheme. Although, I do have a friend who claims that he encounters triangle-headed salamanders in eastern Oklahoma from time to time.

irimali

cool model!  I like the frilly skin flaps.

I've seen other photos of supposedly still living diplocaulus before.  this one looks pretty good too:

stargatedalek

The tail seems a little too long to be Diplocaulus, other than that though this is a stunning piece, I love the mata-mata turtle influence!

Viking Spawn

Cryptozoology theorists will love these!   :P

Takama

That is indeed a model.    Theres a photo of the Sculptor holding it on facebook.

I honestly thought it was another Salamander, until i took a look at the head

Could you possibly link me to that image?

Plasticbeast95

Looks like a Hellbender with the neck of a Mata mata and the head of a Diplocaulus.

Nice sculpting though.

There seem to be models which look so realistic. This is terrific! This is not even diorama style anymore, this is close to cryptozoology pictures.
Are there any dinosaur pictures of the same style?  I mean, photorealistic dinosaurs?
