I think that Will be a great idea that Safari and Papo (or Rebor) collaborate, the detail of the Papo (or the Rebor) models and the Safari accuracy for his models... Will be fantastic, No?

Killekor

Competing companies don't collaborate with each other.

I know, and sometimes i think that some brands are stupid to not collaborate.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Well, Safari used to cooperate with Schleich from 1989 till 1993 or so, with the latter distributing the Carnegie Collection in Europe. And the founder of Bullyland was the son-in-law of the Schleich owner back then. But nowadays both of these things are less likely.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

One second, it's a joke, or you want to Say that Bullyland have collaborate with Schleich (and not that Schleich have collaborate with Schleich)?

Thanks

Oops, I meant Safari. Schleich distributed Safari's Carnegie Collection. Also according to "Dinosauriana", Safari worked with Bullyland in the development of the first 17 Carnegies, with Bullyland doing the tooling. I guess something happened between the tooling and release of the figures that caused Safari to let Schleich distribute them instead.

Schleich exists because they adapted, becoming more agressive towards rivals while having  good publicity towards customers. Many people think they are the best toy producer ever.

Before Safari came along, Schleich produced prehistoric animals that looked like these:

They are often mistaken for "No Name" figures.

Other than Carnegie, Schleich also distributed Safari's Authentics, Monterey Bay and Vanishing Wild, as well as sea animals by AAA and Maia + Borges.

Rather charming, aren't they? I have a few of the unpainted classics and won a lot including two Minis on eBay this week. ( Although there was another reason why I was interested in that lot )

Yep. There is a catalogue from 1990 that features Invictas and Chinasaurs. ( Quoted from another topic )

Ok, A member on another forum has posted some pics of a Safari Catalog from 1990.

Whats surprising is that if you turn to page 8

you find those.   Anyone know more about the conection between Invicta and Safari?

BTW just to show that they are from the same booklet, here is the index page

Why should Invicta not cooperate with Safari?

As far as German companies go, Simba distributed AAA, UKRD, Thunder Beasts, Dracco, Chap Mei andmore at various points in history. And they sell ( shrunk down ) bootlegs of AAA eggs and Safari toob figures in some of their playsets, too.

Oddly on their Nature World logo there is the Schleich Giganotosaurus:

Revell distributed Procon/CollectA under the Epixx label.

REBOR admires Papo, but Papo is elusive.

Smithsonian museum collaborated with Tyco.

Why is this thread on the New For 2017 page? Shouldn't it be on the general Toylines page instead?

Yes. Moved!

Safari also distributed Plastoy figures, even up until anout 2006 or so. It included their original knights and dragons, their Samurai line and the Egyptian line. Plastoy is still a company out of France, but isn't seen much.

Verahin

How do you think a collaboration would work? If the original thought of the topic was kind of "mix together the respective good aspects of different brands", well I think that is impossible. I don't think that sculptors can cooperate on modelling a figure. The only level of collaboration that I can think of is the distribution, as already suggested, but is it really needed between the major brands in the business?

velociraptor

actually it is unlikely. 2 or more competitors may be afraid of losing their edges when another company can see how they work.
