The holotype for the ichthyosaur Suevoleviathan disinteger (formerly regarded as a species of Leptopterygius) was thought lost, but has been recovered and redescribed.

That's very well preserved. Good thing it was recovered.

I find the most interesting about this specimen that it rest on its back not on its flank. I think even for the researchers it will provide new perspective.

That's a good point. Gives some nice detail of the pectoral girdle, for example.
