Another one for the fish nerds. Dapedium ballei, a probable stem-gar from the Middle Jurassic of Germany. Now there are about 15 species regarded as valid (dinosaur paleontologists would never let this happen, of course, and would create seven new genera to subdivide this kind of diversity).

Interestingly, the article itself says that Dapedium is difficult to diagnose, so yeah, it's surprising that there aren't 10 genera and at least two families.
