The Journal of the Geological Society is publishing a series of reviews on various lagerstätten, and Mazon Creek's turn has come up. This article gives a good overview of the taphonomy and environment, in addition to the fauna and (to a lesser extent) the flora. The biota represents both marine organisms and freshwater and terrestrial animals washed into the area. This is full of great free ideas for model and diorama makers. Looking forward to more in this series!
