A meteorite crater in northeastern Iowa preserves an incredible variety of Ordovician animals, including eurypterids (maybe you've heard of Pentecopterus), other arthropods, conodonts, and gut contents of several species. This paper reviews the geology and the fauna, and points out things that remain to be studied about this phenomenal site.
