So I am planning on making dinosaur top trumps for personal use, and I'm wondering whether 90+ dinosaurs is a bit too many for a game. And if so, could anyone help me narrowing down the list without missing out on essential (in my opinion) dinosaurs. Or whether it could be practical to have a game with 90 card. I once had a 100 card game with my sister.
This is very off topic I know
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

I think 90 is totally reasonable. You'd have to come up with a lot of stacks! Would you illustrate them yourself or just print out images from the Web or from books?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Lovely idea.  ;)

Some reference here:
We have a similar thing called the "fossil war" collaboratively made by a number of enthusiasts.
It's a dino battle simulator built in Excel, you can play a duel fight in it and see who stands at last.
Stats, skills, bio, morphology, special cards, so on.
In my 2017 version it had 1212 cards (species), and now growing.

So 90 is never too many.

Thank you, and yes. Well the other couple of times I did my own top trumps I did it personalised, one drawing (when I was a kid) and one taking my own photos, but this time I was going planning on using existing art. However, you've just sparked my interest again, so I will might have a go at doing illustrations providing I can find references/skeletals. I have found some fantastic existing art though...

Wow, thanks. Since mine are physical cards and I'm on my own, doing every genus is a little unlikely to say the least, yours looks great.

The categories I'm currently planning on having are max length, max estimated weight, age in millions of years, popularity (likely by google hits) and completeness/quality of remains. I want to have a 'just for fun' category too like 'Danger to humans' or something.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

My first sketch of a dinosaur in a long time. I plan to colour it when I locate some pencil crayons.
Allosaurus fragilis. Even though my sketch isn't great I must give credit to Scott Hartman for the skeletal drawing.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Keep the drawings coming! I'd like to see the whole set.
