These fossils are so cool because you can see the venation pattern and even how they were spotted/pigmented in life.

Here's Laccosmylus calophlebius, named in 2003


And the new species Laccosmylus cicatricatus (the second name means "scarred over" in reference to the markings)

That's a beautiful fossil. It's amazing how all the venation and everything is so well preserved.

Well, looks like after a few months of Burmese amber specimens, Chinese deposits have finally gotten the spotlight again. Anyway, nicely patterened and venated wings, and amazing preservation  :)
