Halichoeres

A bunch of fossil plants from the tropical Permian have been found in Jordan, including some really interesting specimens like seed ferns and the weird sorta fernlike Noeggerathiales.


E-H are members of the Podocarpaceae, a still-living family of mostly southern hemisphere conifers. These are the earliest exemplars, they were previously only known from the Triassic and later.
