The stem-amniote Orobates is known from both body fossils and trackways, so this team of researchers stitched all that information into a robot and produced some great animations of the way it probably walked. This is the sort of gait that would probably have to have been modified in both archosaurs and synapsids to get fleet footed tetrapods.
