If there's one Dinosaur design that's definitely overrepresented in the market, it's the Jurassic Park Tyrannosaurus. However, with all of these different versions, it's hard to decide on one to get. In my opinion, there has not been a perfect figure of this design. Compounding this is fact that the original Tyrannosaurus had a couple of different looks in the first movie.

This isn't an expansive list. The price maximum is $100, and I'm not including action figures. If there's anything I missed, let me know.

So, I want to know: what is the best looking Jurassic Park Tyrannosaurus to date? Is it more accurate to the animatronic or the cgi model? And any other reason for your pick.

The W-Dragon 2019 figure is possibly the most true to Jurassic Park Tyrannosaurus rex model, even if its legs are a bit too long compared to the animal in Jurassic Park. Also, the Jurassic Park T. rex is a bit bulkier, I think. What I also like about the W-Dragon figure is that the pubic bone doesn't stick out, which it often does in other models. In hand, it really looks quite fantastic, with exquisite detailing, making it rather life-like.

In addition to the flaws you pointed out, it also, like the Rebor rex, has a noticeable overbite.

I gave my vote to the Papo rex. The body proportions aren't perfect but the head seems to be nearly identical to the animantronic. The only difference I personally notice is that the mandible isn't as large and pronounced as it should be.

Not on the poll, but for official merch, maybe any of the Mattel ones, or the recent Hallmark Holiday decoration, if not any of those high end pricey statues out there based off the maquette.

For the unofficial ones I think I prefer Rebor's in regards to the skull shape, with W-Dragon's next, though it certainly has a more accurate skin texture. I'm going to give it to Rebor for the coloration too, if for the one in the first film. The Rebor Plains Killer Queen is the only one that comes close to the grey brown coloration exhibited on the maquette, or ILM model used in the film, with maybe the Papo next. The rest seem to resemble the female from the Lost World film, with more vibrant browns and tans and more striping at times.

Disclaimer is that I only own the Mattel ones so I have to rely on images, etc for the others.

You forgot about the Prime 1 Studios 1/38 Tyrannosaurus.
It's one of the only figures that actually gets the bulk of the body and skull correct. Though, it is officially licensed.
You can find it for $100 sometimes, but the price is regularly $120-130.

Now that you mention it, yes, it does. The Papo one too. But not as much as some others, though. The thing is though, in real life, Tyrannosaurus rex did indeed have a (sometimes very noticable) overbite, for as far as I can tell.

If the photos are any indication, that Nanmu Rex will be one heck of a figure.
