Which two are more closely related: a shark, a hippo, or a dolphin?
That's the question readers will answer in the excellent new book "Out of the Blue", a children's book on the evolution of animals, with a particular focus on the water-to-land transition! It's official release is May 11, but I've written a bit about it so you can get a feel for it. This one might just be my new favorite kid's book on evolutionary history. It's at least on the level of Grandmother Fish, and I consider it a youth scicomm must-have!

Looks like a nice book.  Unfortunately my kids have gotten to old for this book.

Looks like a winner! All my friends' children are reaching an age where they'll read any minute, so I'll keep this in mind for birthdays and such.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Looks very nice! Are there versions in other languages?

I looked on the publisher's web site and it only seems to be in English.
