TRIVIA---character actor Jack Pennick appeared in two sci fi movies with the number "20,000" in its title in which a sea vessel is attacked by a giant monster: Ray Harryhausen's THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS and Walt Disney's 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA.

In Ray Harryhausen's classic THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS, Jack Pennick (right) played sailor Jacob Bowman whose fishing trawler is sunk by the giant Rhedosaurus.






In Walt Disney's 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, Pennick played USS Abraham Lincoln cannon mate Carson as the frigate duels Captain Nemo's submarine, the Nautilus, which is later attacked by a giant squid.
