I gave it another go, and so far things have worked out a bit better than last time.  It (she?) might as well be the Iowa next to a destroyer escort when compared to commercial pooltoys.  Perhaps a bit too big, I was at the mercy of the wind when on top of her and ricocheted around the pool.  4m (13'1") is overkill, 3.2m (10'6") might be a bit more sane.



The feathers are a bit of a weak spot since they can't be made with lapped seams, thus no feathers on the arms or a proper tail fan.  Still, Ms. Kirkland has more murder floof than anything anyone else has done so far...



And of course, there are future possibilities...
