Just got back from my annual work trip to Minneapolis, MN (sorry I didn't reach out this time, avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono - my schedule was tighter than last year). Got some birding in with four lifers: Yellow-throated Vireo, Bay-breasted Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Gray-cheeked Thrush.

I finally made it over the first major milestone of 400 ABA species!

B @bmathison1972 I'd only be mad if you had seen a Minnesota ibis without me.

Got back last night from my annual baseball trip to Philadelphia and got in some good birding (I have a birding friend there who's been birding for 50+ years). Got five lifers:

Least Bittern
Veery
Wood Thrush
Ovenbird
Red-headed Woodpecker (a bird that has been eluding me for a while LOL)

Of course one of the neatest things I saw was this common snapping turtle laying eggs!

Wow, Least Bittern! That's an achievement.

I got in a whistling match with a Baltimore Oriole on the way to work. He won on artistry, but I won on style.

The Baltimore Orioles are in the basement in the NL East right now, so they don't have much for style  ::D  :*D  ::D  8)

Today, I had the visit of a charming couple :)
Could capture the moment with a few pictures and a video footage, but the background is unfortunately not glamorous due to the current construction works next to my building.

Is that a parent and chick? Very cute regardless of their relation to each other!

Last weekend I was in Los Angeles for work and got some birding in. My two lifers were both exotics, Red-whiskered Bulbul and Indian Peafowl. To me, the peafowl is kind of a cheat, but it comes up as an expected bird for the eBird hotspot (LA County Arboretum) and eBird put it on my life list near the top and not at the bottom as an exotic/escapee (I believe the birds breed on the arboretum grounds).

Possibly indeed.
Actually, those 2 tits had approximately the same size and plumage that's why I thought they were both adults, therefore, a couple :
