So that's like 4pm EST on the 13th then? I'm just wondering how much I can drop on it, since I totally forgot about this one, and already nearly have $200 (usd) I'll be spending on the Cyberzoic one which ends on the 2nd.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin 4pm EST on Friday is correct. I have tried to keep the pricing as reasonably affordable as possible, especially when compared to other 1:35 scale small production figures.

Faelrin

If the conversion rate stuff I looked up is accurate, then it should be in my favor (from NZD to USD). Will there be a pledge tier for all three? At the very least I imagine the compy will be the cheapest as it is the smallest, but if I can go for all three too I can try.

Retrosaurus

Yep the Compsognathus is the cheapest of the three, and there is a tier for the full set which works out cheaper than getting them individually.

Retrosaurus

Kia ora everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that the Kickstarter page is live, and that the funding campaign will launch this Saturday at 9am NZDT! Below are the official promotional images showcasing the prototypes of the 1:35 scale 1930s Tyrannosaurus Rex, 1:35 scale 1960s Iguanodon, and 1:10 scale 1970s Compsognathus.

I really want the all in set, but that's over $170 for me. I was luckily just approved for a new card, so if that can arrive before the new campaign ends I'll go for it. At the same time I ran into a personal issue which may or may not impact my income next month, so just to be safe then sorry I have to hold off pledging until early November at the least. Unfortunate because I really wanted to go all in today, which would be a good help to the campaign.

Assuming I do get that new card in before it ends though, is there a way to get the postcards and the figures? Like are they available as an addon? Sorry if they are. Haven't tried checking.

In any case I'll make an annoucnement on my instagram to help get the word out.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I have just made the postcards available as an add-on now. Thank you very much for your support  :))

avatar_Retrosaurus @Retrosaurus I really want one of those gold ones, but only a single one. At that price I just couldn't afford to buy all three and then try to sell the other two. If the three trios don't sell by the end I wonder if that would be a possibility. But they very well might. Best of luck on this one!

As much as I wanted the Iguanodon, I can't pledge.
Living in Germany it costs more than EUR 100 in the end - too much for me :'( .

Retrosaurus

Hey avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian, because we're based in NZ, shipping is a bit higher. It shouldn't be showing as over 100 Euro though, and should be about 90 Euro including shipping, as it is priced at $160NZD. Can you please PM me if this is not the case?

Cheers!

You're right avatar_Retrosaurus @Retrosaurus - figure plus shipping is about EUR 90 ..... plus 19% import sales tax ... plus EUR 6 for DHL or whatever company is handling the customs clearing for you (without asking) makes it about EUR 113 in the end, which is about twice the price of the figure.
As I wrote, that's because I live in Germany. Living in New Zealand I wouldn't hesitate to pledge.

Pliosaurking

Hey avatar_Retrosaurus @Retrosaurus is it possible for you to make each dinosaur a add-on as well? As I'd like to back both the Rex and Iguanodon, however it only letting me back one with postcards as the only available add-on. It is saying however each one is a add-on.

Retrosaurus

Hey avatar_Pliosaurking @Pliosaurking , you raise an excellent point. Unfortunately, due to Kickstarter's restrictive shipping options with the way they operate, making the figures add-ons could create issues for us later on. To combat this, I have introduced pair tiers. This should allow you to support both the Rex and Iguanodon, but only have to pay shipping once. I hope this helps!

Retrosaurus

I would like to begin by saying a massive thank you to all who have backed this project so far. Your support is getting us closer to reaching our goal every day!

In regards to backing multiple Retro Dinosaurs, due to popular request, you can now get Retro Dinosaurs as duos! This lets you save on shipping costs as you only have to pay once. You now have the option to get them individually, two of your choice, or the full set!

Once again, thank you all so much for your support so far!

Lanthanotus

Just pledged and I hope the project makes it. Am very happy for that opportunity and the selection of firsts is great :D
Good luck, Jacob!

Ikessauro

Cool, love the concept but unfortunatelly way out of my budget. Price is a bit high specially for figures that don't require painting, but I hope the campaign is successful.

Also, since there are Golden special limited editions, that are even more expensive than the normal set, I'm gonna stay away from getting any figure. As a completist, I have to decide if it is worth it to "start a collection", bacause I know later I'll feel like I need to complete it and if I can't, that will annoy the heck out of my weird brain. Best of luck.

Retrosaurus

Hey avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro ! The production process is more in line with resin garage kits, where each figure has to be hand cast. The pricing reflects the materials cost along with the lengthy nature of the process in comparison to a mass-produced figure. By comparison to other small production resin figures which use a similar production process, the pricing sits well within their range and, in many cases, below others.

I can absolutely understand that completist mindset! I'm much the same myself with a lot of dinosaur figure lines  ;D

Cheers,
Jacob

Oh, I see now. I assumed they were like plastic manufactured in bulk or 3d printed. Makes sense to have a price point like that for resin and more artesanal work.

These models are definitely worth their money, no doubt about that.

I am  especially keen on the Compsognathus. I fear, though, that the horrendous and impertinent postage - like avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian I live in Germany - would make the figure out of reach.
Did I get that right, firstly I would have to invest an optional amount of money to the kickstarter campaign and after that I´d have the right to order? And how much would the Compsognathus be including posting to Germany?

If we lived in a fair world, I could afford all three, but since nothing´s fair, I fear I can at most afford the Compy. :-[
