Quote from: dragon53 on October 09, 2024, 06:54:25 AMHas there been any speculation about an HLG Dreadnoughtus in the future?

I have not seen any mentioning of a potential Haolonggood Dreadnoughtus, but after they have completed Argentinosaurus and then also Brachiosaurus there are of course many options. Personally I would think that a large diplodocid like Barosaurus, Supersaurus or even Maraapunisaurus would be a good option, not least because these look quite different from the macronarians they have produced and also from the Mamenchisaurus. But then Dreadnoughtus or Patagotitan may also be a good option.

Yes please! Supersaurus and Barosaurus would be a dream come true, I would add D. hallorum and Suuwassea, Maraapu would be too speculative to my liking, almost a cryptid.

Thanks.

I was hoping for a Namu JURASSIC WORLD Dreadnoughtus because a paleontologist from my alma mater discovered a Dreadnoughtus neck bone, but a Nanmu Dreadnoughtus doesn't appear to be a sure thing, so I am hoping for an HLG Dreadnoughtus.

I also would like to see an HLG Astrodon because there's full-size replica of an Astrodon next to a skeleton of an Acrocanthosaurus in the museum about a mile from my alma mater

I would like an Astrodon too, even if there isn't much material for it. I live in Maryland where it's the state dinosaur.

My best recollections of this species is from the Raptor Red novel, for that alone I'd like one at some point.

I also remember it from Raptor Red, and that was also my introduction to Astrodon. Another valid reason to want one.

CARN0TAURUS

Quote from: bmathison1972 on October 09, 2024, 12:11:57 AMI am on the fence about this Argentinosaurus. I really like it, and it's a new genus/species for me. But, I have the CollectA Mamenchisaurus, Ruyangosaurus, and Dreadnoughtus and the PNSO Alamosaurus. Eventually, these all start to become minor variations on a theme, especially given the amount of space they take up, my major limiting factor these days.

I'm excited and happy for all you guys that wanted a 1/35 scale Argentinosaurus! Kudos to HLG for making such an amazing figure! But like you I have issues of space, I live in a decent sized house in California but we are a collecting family, my dinosaur collection has a lot of competition from not just my wife's and kid's toy collections, but also from some of my other collections.  Maybe if and when the kids move out ;) and they take their collections with them, maybe then I might have room for some of these giant toys.  I've had to pass on some highly desirable large figures over the last few years and unfortunately this will be yet another one that I simply don't have space for.  I have gone over boxes and boxes of stuff over the last few years deciding what to get rid of and I'm not a huge fan of doing that.  selling old favorites to make room for new toys has backfired on me before and I ended up really regretting getting rid of some of them.

I'm getting to a point where I really have to prioritize what I'm getting from all the new stuff that is coming out but I can still be happy for all of you guys that will be posting pictures of this behemoth alongside your collections, can't wait to see it :)

Quote from: TlatolophusJuanorum on October 08, 2024, 08:21:44 PMYou could get into a Shaximiao's stegosaurid pack: Huayangosaurus,Chialingosaurus,  Gigantspinosaurus, Chungkingosaurus, Yingshangosaurus, or Bashanosaurus. They are some good remains in at least three of them, so that could do it. That would be a fair solution for smaller species that are relegated due to their sizes.  :))
No mention of Tuojiangosaurus makes me sad.  It's the largest and most impressive of the Shaximiao stegosaurians and it really needs an accurate figure.
I was unaware of the scale issue with PNSOs Tuojiangosaurus, but I dissagree with being the most impressive. I think Gigantspinosaurus deserves some love, the CollectA one is akward, to say the least.
PNSO's Tuojiangosaurus is... okay, but it doesn't really capture the look of Tuojiangosaurus.  Compare it to the modern understanding of Tuojiangosaurus below.

Notice the different body and tail shape, different plate shape (bent in PNSO's, straight in the real animal), different plate arrangement (largest plates being behind the legs in PNSO's but in front of the legs in the real animal), missing 16th plates...  The PNSO's colouration isn't great as well...  I'm sure Tuojiangosaurus by Haolonggood would be spectacular and unique!

Fair enough if you prefer Gigantspinosaurus to Tuojiangosaurus.  But CollectA's version of Gigantspinosaurus is a great figure in my opinion, I have it and am happy with it.  For Tuojiangosaurus there's a lack of a good figure of it...

Best would be if we would get both Tuojiangosaurus and Gigantspinosaurus and then even Hesperosaurus.

SenSx

I really don't know if I'll get that Argentinosaurus, as I'm very happy with the Terra Erra Patagotitan.
Also the size estimation of Argentinosaurus is really hard to make, and that is something that annoys me, I actually prefer reasonnable estimations.
But that figure is soo cool, I really don't want to spoil people's pleasure.

Torvosaurus

That is everything I've dreamed of in an Argentinosaurus. The HLG 131 model for me. Now I just need to find somewhere to order it from. I'm also going to have to explain to the Mrs. about the existence of another huge dinosaur, as well. But its easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. I hope. 😀

What are the reliable sources to preorder from Haolonggood for EU customers? Lana and everything dino?

Lana Time Shop has already put on sale the Argentinosaurus Here. 199 USD + shipping (100 to the US by sea). Well... so I'll skip this one to a greater extent than their previous releases until my wallet can afford it. A hefty chonker for sure.

Nice. They do not seem to ship to Scandinavia though, so I'll keep an eye on their amazon store. Do they have an ebay one too?

I imagine that most complex paint scheme not being sustainable for mass production.
