There's been a few changes to which figures will be in the icons, mostly due to some figures lacking suitable photos.  The current figures chosen are:

Dinosaur toys (general): Megalosaurus (PNSO)
Dinosaur toy lines: Deinonychus (Safari 2020)
Dinosaur model kits: Plateosaurus (Kaiyodo)
Dinosaur toy groups: Tianzhenosaurus (Haolonggood)
Dinosaur toy collections: Ceratosaurus (Papo)
Classifieds: Pachycephalosaurus (Battat)
Dinosaurs and palaeontology: Atlasaurus (Eofauna)
Books, film, and other media: Stegosaurus (PNSO 2021 adult)
Museums, theme parks, and other places: Tyrannosaurus (Carnegie 2014)
Dinosaur art: Deinocheirus (PNSO)
Dioramas: Citipati (Safari)
Dinosaur Toy Forum diorama contests: Ichthyosaurus (Kaiyodo Dinotales)
Customised figures: Styracosaurus (BotM)
General: Plesiosaurus (Kaiyodo Dinotales)
Other toys and collectibles: Thylacosmilus (Kaiyodo)
Games: Parasaurolophus (Mattel 2019)
New members: Opabinia (Favorite)
Members' board: Pteranodon (Kaiyodo 2015)
Forum and blog business: Caviramus (CollectA)

I've created almost all the full opacity versions.  I'm waiting to hear back from avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector regarding whether I can use the photos of the Kaiyodo Dinotales Ichthyosaurus and Plesiosaurus on the dinotoycollector site to create the icons.  If anyone has photos of them I can use, please let me know!

avatar_Sim @Sim If the Dinotales Plesiosaurus doesn't work out, would you be fine using the Mattel one? Or alternatively last year's Elasmosaurus?

Thanks for the suggestions avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin!  I had forgot about Mattel's plesiosauroids!  The Mattel Plesiosaurus looks quite good to me.  However, avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres has kindly allowed me to use his photo on the dinotoycollector site for the Kaiyodo figure.  Just Ichthyosaurus left now!  Funny how Mattel hasn't made any ichthyosaurs...

Faelrin

avatar_Sim @Sim I liked this earlier as I didn't have a chance to properly respond, but I am glad to hear he offered that one. I'm glad you think the Mattel Plesiosaurus was nice (or a nice alternative option).

Also might have forgotten to mention this, but I absolutely will pitch in for the 50% opacity versions once you are done all the full ones.

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin!  And I do think the Mattel Plesiosaurus is nice and would have been a good alternative option.  I've made all the full opacity icons.  Since I haven't gotten permission for the Ichthyosaurus, I've used the CollectA mini Temnodontosaurus instead.  I'll proceed to send you and avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum the full opacity versions.

avatar_Sim @Sim  avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum Got the 50% opacity versions done now. I also did a few touch ups on the PNSO Deinocheirus full opacity pic (mostly removing the white background, and attempts at smoothing the jagged pixel edges around it). I think the Temnodontosaurus mini was a good alternative choice too.

avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum avatar_Sim @Sim just sent me a new version of the Deinocheirus with full opacity that lacks the white background. This is much smoother then the attempt I did earlier, lol. I'll redo the 50% version then with it, and post it here as an edit once done.

Edit: Here it is. Yeah way way smoother lol.

Thanks avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin!  I think we realised I forgot to remove the background on the Deinocheirus icon at the same time!  I've sent avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum the full opacity version of the new Deinocheirus icon.

Thank you both! I think I have all I need to update the forum icons now so I'll do it soon.

DinoToyForum

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin I think you missed the transparent Pachycephalosaurus?

Faelrin

avatar_DinoToyForum @DinoToyForum You know what, you're right! I did upload it to my imgur today, but totally forgot to add that one along with the rest. So good catch there. If there's any others I forgot to add here, please let me know.

Thanks both! The forum icons are now updated. I realised in the process of doing so that I did away with the 50% opacity icons to differentiate boards with and without new posts, because it was unnecessary and a bit ambiguous. So sorry about asking you to provide those. I can always add them if we want.

Sim

Thanks for updating the icons Dr Admin! :)  I had been thinking I hadn't seen the semi-transparent icons for a while, now I know why!
