Do you know what the "Reply on the Fediverse" button means on certain blog comments?

Yes, and it wouldn't put me off replying to that comment.

Readers of the blog may notice in the comments section there's sometimes a "Reply on the Fediverse" button next to certain comments instead of just a "reply" button (see screenshot below). I'm curious if readers know what this means and whether it puts anyone off replying to those comments (in reality, or in principle).

Thanks extra voters! Is anybody else willing to cast a vote? Especially if you do comment on the blog, but even if you don't.
