Quote from: Noideaforaname on January 13, 2025, 03:49:53 AMI really don't want to buy replacement figures... but I kinda want a larger adult Triceratops and better JP/// Velociraptors now.

I never even bothered with the JP3 raptors, they failed to impress. They really should remake them, and the original JP raptor too.

I'm pretty content with the Habitat Defender Trike.

Prehistory Resurrection

It's official that the following are coming (no pictures yet):

Super Colossal Mosasaurus, Titanosaurus, HC Spinosaurus, HC Stegosaurus.

Nice to see a Super Colossal Mosasaurus is coming, though the current figures are already quite big. Interesting to see a Titanosaurus coming for the Rebirth line. The Dreadnoughtus figure is already humongous,so it will be interesting to see a comparison between the two. Finally, after all this time, we are getting a HC Spinosaurus. As for the Stegosaurus, I hope that it will be based on The Lost World: JP variant rather than the JW variant.

I'm wondering if that SC Mosa will just be as big as the real feel? I saw the measurements and it doesn't seem that big. I guess the tail could be separate and they are giving box dimensions? But , again the real feel had a separate tail too.

Just measured my Dread, it's 58" long from tail tip to nose in the pose I have it in. Titanosaurus is supposedly around 53" So close.  Not sure what version of the Stego but I too hope it's the LW version. We really don't know which Spino we are getting either. I think heads will roll if it's not the JP3 one though.

Oh man, talk about a bait and switch if it turned out to be some rebirth redesign for the Hammond collection

The only pre-requisite for the HC line is it had to have appeared in a film in some way.  They have a Super Colossal Spino planned, this HC Spino and several mainline Spinos.  It would be interesting to see both versions appear in the same year.  I actually hope they address it in the film, why are we seeing this version vs the other?

Not even, since there's an Irritator and Scutosaurus in the line. There really isn't a pre-requisite.

I stand corrected. "Had to have appeared in the franchise somewhere. " Is what I should have said.  Scutosaurus has been an original Kenner release and had game appearences. Irritator has had three game appearances as far back as JP3.

New blind box mini codes. New sets are the Irritator + Hesperosaurus & Monolophosaurus + Mapusaurus.

There's also the stealth reveal of the mini Dreadnoughtus. No further information. Would work well to compliment the HLG Argentinosaurus as very young specimen I reckon.

Has there been any news of the Suchomimus Protector Pack? Was looking forward to getting a non-battle damaged and more vibrant version of the CT Suchomimus. Thought it would've released by now.

Where can one find these new minis?  I'm interested in getting one or two.  I'm also interested in acquiring the Mattel mini Nothosaurus, is it too late to find that one?

Haven't heard anything in a bit. The new Darius/Baryonyx pack just released though. Maybe later on? I'm interested in it myself even with having the previous version. There were a couple in the show.  I also hope they don't forget Sammy and Brooklyn.

Part of me thinks it was canceled, part of me thinks it was delayed. There was a page for it on Mattel's site sometime last year, but it's now gone.

I think the Nothosaurus is currently in the wave of minis just before this wave with the monolophosaurus. If not I also have lots of extras that I could trade

Might show up in Mexico or Australia like some of the other sets have. I can see Target's thinking, they already have a couple similar sets. This would make our 2nd Ben set and we have two Darius sets.

Thanks!  Where are the minis sold, is it in physical toy stores, or online only...?  I know almost nothing about the availability of Mattel Jurassic World figures.  If I wanted to try to find the minis online is there a name I should search for, such as the name of the wave?

As for physical stores I can't quite say for sure where to look in the UK. I have seen them in plenty of stores here in the states, but I'm not all too familiar with what stores in the UK might have Jurassic World figures. I would assume plenty of stores have them as I've been able to find them in some grocery stores here. Online, you can probably find them in lots on ebay, either loose or still in box. From my experience hunting another rather hard to find mattel mini, unopened boxes are a lot cheaper and sellers usually include photos of all sides of the box, including barcode.

As for the actual minis, if you want to find the Nothosaurus either look for the Dino Trackers mini set wave 2 (Triceratops box) With the printed code above the barcode ending in D09F, or the Epic Evolution minis wave 3 (Blue banner on box) with the code ending in SD05J.

Looks like the new minis are starting to get out there now. I haven't watched the videos in full yet, sort of skimmed through them, but thought I'd share these. Scale is a bit off on the two new sets weirdly. Rest seem to be repacks other then the repainted Gallimimus maybe (unless it was included in one of the previous sets out there)?

Edit: Came across this video which shows a future wave with a new Dreadnoughtus mini. Don't know if that was shared here before (I'll try to update the op tomorrow with it):
